Management and Governance
The Stichting Leerorkest and the Stichting Instrumentendepot Leerorkest use a board of directors and management model that follows the rules of the Governance Code Culture and the accompanying nine principles which are established in the management regulations.
The Stichting Leerorkest and the Stichting Instrumentendepot Leerorkest have the same Supervisory Board. The members also form the Supervisory Board of the Muziekcentrum Zuidoost. This structure stems from the organisational connection between these organisations.
Maurits Haenen, president
Active in the cultural sector throughout his working life, as director of the Nederlands Balletorkest and Holland Symfonia, amongst others. Interim manager for a range of cultural organisations and centres for the arts. Chairman of the Foundation Friends of Youth Orchestras in The Netherlands.
Erik Brink, finance
Independent interim manager for planning and control. More than 10 years’ experience in financial positions within the profit sector, involved in government and education since 2003. Clients include High School Inholland, Muziekcentrum Zuidoost, Haarlem Council and the Calibris Centre.
Akkie Muller, human resources
Worked at Randstad Nederland BV. Is owner and director of Human Sources. In addition, she is one of the two owners of SBuddy.nl, Chair of the Naarden Citadel Island Foundation and Chair of the Disability Affairs Foundation.
Anita van der Wielen, education
Manager and advisor in Education.
Notary, partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Amsterdam.
Marco de Souza, director/founder
Those employed by the foundation are paid according to the labour regulations of the Stichting Leerorkest and the Stichting Instrumentenfonds Leerorkest. Employees seconded from Muziekcentrum Zuidoost and Muziekschool Noord are remunerated according to the collective labour agreements of those organisations. Members of the Board of Governors and the Supervisory Board receive no remuneration.
